the crows the horns of the trains the airport the port where the two rivers meet the loading and unloading amid foghorns all night long the security helicopters the rain the rain the cats fighting in heat the coyotes the Canadian geese the streetracers on Columbia the speedway on the weekends the slow grating of the brakes on the trains as they inch forwards creating a screech that is so slow it becomes a drone the rain the ice storms and winds snapping limbs the tweakers shaking the recycling bins nobody stops at Olympia and Iris and mufflers are for the weak while dozens of dogwalkers pretend not to notice the arguments in all the prefab shacks where you can hold a phone in the air and play it all baby streaming all over the fucking world.
